In 2002 Microsoft shipped a new help format, Microsoft Help 2.0, to replace HTML Help 1.x. Unfortunately this was never released to the general public as originally planned (see News) and became the help system for Visual Studio .NET, MSDN Library and Technet products.
Microsoft has decided not to release Help 2.0 as a general help platform and recommends that you continue to use HTML Help 1.x wherever possible.
The H2 Runtime installer will probably never become available, nor will the H2 API documentation never become public.
