What do name spaces in Help 2.0 have together with XML Namespaces?
Nothing. Microsoft unfortunately uses the term namespace in completely different connection than the W3C. The Help 2.0 name spaces does not have to do anything with XML namespace.
The registration of a "namespace" on a German machine:
Windows XP PC (Status 2002-10-21):
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Microsoft Help\nslist.hxl
- enthält eine Liste aller registrierten Namensräume
Registered Namespaces Stored in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft Help\nslist.hxl
- Contains list of all registered namespaces
